2. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comment form (name, email address, website URL) together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user‑agent string. This information helps us detect and block spam.

If you use a Gravatar avatar, an anonymised hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service so that your avatar can be displayed next to your comment. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once a comment is approved, the associated avatar is publicly visible alongside the comment.

3. Media

If you upload images to the website, please remove any embedded location data (EXIF GPS) before publishing. Visitors can download the images and may extract any location data that remains.

4. Cookies

Comment‑form cookies – If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website URL in a cookie for convenience. This cookie lasts for one year.

Login‑page test cookie – When you visit the login page we set a short‑lived cookie to verify that your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the browser.

Authentication cookies – After you log in, we set cookies that keep you authenticated and remember your display preferences. Authentication cookies expire after two days; “Remember Me” extends the session to two weeks. Preference cookies (e.g., screen layout) last for one year.

Editor cookie – When you create or edit a post, a temporary cookie records the post ID you are working on. It expires after 24 hours and contains no personal data.
